At Lawrence Batley Theatre we are always looking for ways of enhancing the audience's enjoyment of our performances. At the same time, we are acutely aware of our responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our productions. We believe our innovative partnership with the sustainable travel-planning company Fellowtravellers enables us to meet both these objectives.
Fellowtravellers offers the flexibility of a taxi service at a cost more normally associated with a bus service, and is able to offer a door-to-door service tailored exactly to our performance schedule, and at only 60 grammes of CO2 emissions per passenger mile it's a lot better for the environment than the 140 grammes per passenger mile of a 2-occupant car, or 140 grammes per passenger mile of traditional public transport.
